Pic: Andy and his team leave the tournament site at around 00:30, Tuesday.
We're going backwards for the start of this latest update, to the hours before Andy's opening match to be specific.
Andy and the guys were on Ashe an hour before the night session started, hitting a few balls to get a feel for the surroundings.
Sadly for fitness coach Matt Little, his football-tennis forfeit - kissing tennis shoes on ten push-ups - was carried out in front of the early arrivals in the stadium. They were a little bemused.

And they were a little surprised to see coach Miles Maclagan performing his forfeit. If performing is the right term.

Believe it or not, that's him dancing. Book your night out with him now before tickets sell out.
Andy was in the locker room as the Sharapova match began, and the player lounge at that time of night is pretty quiet.
the few people who were up there were lucky enough to take in this scene: McEnroe versus Connors on the practice courts below.

And now a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes after one of Andy's matches. Not very much really. An emotionally spent Team Murray wait for their player to emerge from his media duties....

Their transport got back to the hotel at around 1am. Pretty late, but Andy needed to eat, so they headed across the road to the 24hr restaurant.

Nico Lapentti - fresh from his surprise win over Wawrinka - was in there with his family. First time they'd seen each other since their hit in Miami. He's a nice guy.
And so to Wednesday. Late start for everyone, given the late finish. Only thing in the diary was a two hour hit on the practice courts in the shadows of Arthur Ashe stadium...

The crowds watching outside the courts are loving the tennis-football, mainly because they know to expect some sort of embarrassing forfeit. Matt little does his best to avoid doing just that....

Spare a thought for Ross Hutchins, who had to dance in full view of everyone for a minute. If you have any suggestions on his dancing, we're sure he'd welcome your input. Head to rosshutchins.net

As per yesterday, hitting was Ross and Miles versus Andy. Bit one-sided despite the numerical advantage.

And the returns are looking good. Not much gets sent down that he doesn't seem to ping back, and deep too.

Everyone had dinner at around 8:30pm tonight. Few of the Sky Sports team eating at the same place.
More tomorrow...
