Andy’s expecting a tough match to make the fourth round at Wimbledon, with Gilles Simon the ‘very unorthodox’ hurdle in front of him on Saturday.
Andy will take to Centre Court in the last match match of the day knowing the Frenchman’s ranking of world no. 32 doesn’t tell the full story.
“He was at the top of the game before he got hurt,” said Andy of Simon’s recent injury troubles.
“He’s had a problem with his knee the last few months. He’s obviously in the top 10 last year. He’s beaten Federer a couple of times and had some tough matches with Djokovic.
Both players have enjoyed pretty simple passage to the third round, although in the Frenchman’s case he had a walkover in the last round against Ukraine’s Illya Marchenko.
“He’s a very difficult player to play against, very unorthodox,” reckoned Andy. “You know, it will be a bit of a tough match if we both play well.”
