Andy is into the quarter-finals at Wimbledon after a fourth consecutive straight sets win, this time over Sam Querrey, 7-5 6-3 6-4.

Having been wished good luck by David Beckham beforehand, Andy completed the win in two hours and six minutes.

He’s now the only man in the last eight not to have dropped a set so far, and will play 10th seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in the semi-finals.

“It was a very good match,” Andy told BBC Sport. “I had my chances at the end of first set, it was a huge point in the match because he had the momentum and I managed to nick it away from him. It’s tough playing against someone with such a big serve.”

“The shot-making today was great, especially towards the end of the first set,” added Andy. “I played well, just a few dips in the performance.”
