Andy is through to the third round of the Rome Masters 1000 after a comprehensive 6-2 6-4 win over Andreas Seppi.
He’ll next face David Ferrer on Thursday after he beat Potito Starace in straight sets.
Back to winning ways, and a performance with which Andy was reasonably pleased.
“I served really well when I needed to,” said Andy. “There were a few things I could have done better, but for a first round it was good.”
“There’s almost less pressure on the clay,” he added. “Everyone was panicking – I played a couple of bad tournaments. It happens.”
