The draw for the Dubai Tennis Championships was made on Saturday, with Andy facing qualifier Igor Kunitsyn in the first round.
He’ll play the World No. 90 on Monday (4:30pm UK approx) in what will be their first meeting on the tour.
The most intriguing aspect of the tournament – Andy’s first since the Aussie Open – had been a possible semi-final rematch versus Roger Federer.
But the World No. 1 has pulled out with a lung infection, and is expected to be out of action for several weeks.
Andy will face either Andreas Seppi or Janko Tipsarevic in the second round, with Mikhail Youzhny his quarter-final opponent based on seeding.
