Andy is through to the fourth round of the French Open after a 6-2 6-3 0-6 6-2 win over Marcos Baghdatis.
He’ll now face Tomas Berdych for a place in the quarter-finals after he came through in straight sets against John Isner.
“The start of the match actually wasn’t particularly great,” said Andy. “Both of us had a lot of mistakes, both of us were a little bit subdued, maybe. It could have been because of a few late finishes and long days. Sometimes that happens.”
“He’s a difficult guy to play against because he’s a great shot-maker and very unpredictable, so you need to be focused all the time and I wasn’t in the third set.”
After playing for three days in a row Andy was looking forward to a day off on Saturday.
“It’s tough sometimes, it happens in Slams and you just need to deal with it, but I’ll be fine for the next match.”
