A wild card entry into the Monte Carlo Masters 1000, Andy has been drawn in the same half as Rafa Nadal for his first clay tournament of 2010.

With a bye into the second round, Andy’s first opponent will be either Philipp Kohlschreiber or Thomaz Bellucci.

Looking ahead, Ivan Ljubicic is his seeded quarter-final opponent, with World No. 3 Rafa Nadal expected to make the semi-finals from his quarter.

Andy hit with top seed Novak Djokovic on Saturday, and the Serb has the likes of Cilic and Verdasco lurking in his half.

First up for Andy though is the doubles, where he’ll partner Ross Hutchins.

They face Cermak/Mertinak in the fifth match on centre court, Sunday.
