Andy will take on World No. 64 Florent Serra on Friday, with the winner going through to the fourth round of the Aussie Open.
The two have enjoyed contrasting fortunes so far: Andy arrives having played just six sets; Serra has played back-to-back five-setters.
It’s another late night/early morning if you’re watching in the UK, with Andy’s match scheduled third on Hisense Arena.
3am UK time is realistic.
Friday’s schedule in full
Serra’s second round match with Jarkko Nieminen was pretty brutal, and given the Frenchman has never gone beyond the second round in Melbourne, Andy will of course be favourite to advance.
“He’s been around the 50 mark for quite a long time,” said Andy.
“He’s a solid player. He’s had two very long matches so far. Saved a couple of match points. So he’s gonna go for it. I have to make sure I’m on my game.”
