Andy beat Fernando Verdasco on Thursday afternoon, but will now have to wait to see if he advances to the semi-final stages.
His 6-4 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-3) win means he has to wait on the match between Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro to see if he has qualified from Group A.
If Fed beats del Potro, both he and Andy go through to the semi-finals.
If del Potro wins in straight sets against the World No. 1, Andy and the Argentine go through.
But if del Potro were to win in three sets, the tie between him, Fed and Andy – who would all be on a 5-4 sets score – would be broken by the games win-loss percentage.
