Andy will take on World No. 80 Jan Hajek of the Czech Republic in the first round of Wimbledon, in what will be their first ever match at tour level.
Andy was placed in the bottom half of this morning’s draw, along with second seed Rafael Nadal, but away from defending champion Roger Federer and third seed Novak Djokovic.
A win against Hajek – who has never won a round at Wimbledon – would put Andy through to a second round match against either 2006 quarter-finalist Jarkko Nieminen or Stefan Koubek.
Looking further ahead, the likes of Gilles Simon and Sam Querrey could present themselves en route to the quarter-finals, where Fernando Verdasco is the seeded opponent.
Beyond that Rafael Nadal is the seeded semi-final opponent, although like Andy he will take nothing for granted.
